Schleese Saddle, Eagle, Used

a nest of Iberian Imperial Eagle.

Iberian Imperial Eagle (Aquila adalberti) only breeds in Spain because there are no reports of nests in Portugal although there have been exemplary in this country, this girl was also present in the mountains of Morocco (continuations bio-geographical and geological nature of the Sierras de Andalucía) but today it is judged to be extinct in the area. It's a bird, therefore, endangered and protected in our country.

inhabit the forests of Mediterranean climate, such as oak and cork forests of mountains and plains, with large open areas nearby, this being sometimes interspersed with areas of Mediterranean scrub pines. They hunt in open fields and usually catch from air, although juveniles tend to hunt more lurking. The diet is based on vertebrates, mammals (rabbits), birds, reptiles and even carrion in winter.

In Cabañeros National Park, between Ciudad Real and Toledo, is a nested pair already have a chick and you can follow your progress via a webcam. Not only can you see the chick and its parents but also you can instead listen to the sounds of a Mediterranean forest.
