Just a warning for everyone s which from time to time you read this "abandoned" blog.
few months ago, tired of spam telephone suffered by Movistar, I decided to change my phone number and company.
The "strategy" was started practicing, never give the number of fixed phone to ANYONE that requires no contact. I mean companies (SAT, CAC, banking, insurance, etc) to avoid being sold or exchanged my data.
The other day I made the error record to check if my area was covered ONO to 50mb as I am a customer of them with 12mb.
The problem is that I, as I was an asshole, and I did the test, instead of on the website of ONO in www.adslworld.es . The next day I received a phone call and internet telephony trying to bid. What company? According to the caller (Latin of course) told me of anyone. I indicated that I was not interested. The next day they called, insists that let the owner of the line (which do not have any data, only the phone number), and I do not care if you tell them NOT GOING TO PUT THE HOLDER, and when they ask why, answer them well or worse, they keep saying they want to talk with the owner.
Well, I just received yet another call from the same site, with the same story, and I gave the same answer. I know that tomorrow I will call again, and I'm assuming this will not end easily.
just wanted to warn you that you have certain pages carefully asking the number of tlf for anything.
If it is true that I am so careful with these things, I stopped to think that the website says nothing about protecting the data entered. Finally, in reality the fault is mine and mine alone, but wanted to share with tod @ s, that is how a call center company, is responsible for collect phones for sale.
Care.
Indeed, the number that appears where you call is: 911883755
Edito 07/09/2010: I just found a website that tells me who is who called me. Identified when the company termed as "Agora" or "Abora" but from "www.tp2location.com" we put the phone number where we were accosted by adding the +34, and give the button, international and ... bingo. We can denounce them, which is what I do now.
In this case, the data to No. I am talking about are these:
